PROGRAM STRUCTURE
SEASONAL CLASSES AND ANNUAL RECITAL
Our program runs each year from September through to June, culminating in the year end recital showcasing students' talent and progress. All students from both our Recreational Program and Competitive Program participate in this annual performance. Year after year, TDI receives endless compliments on our professional shows. Beautiful costumes, make-up, professional light and sound are all part of our production, allowing students and audience members alike, that "little taste of Broadway".
MAXIMUM CLASS SIZES
There is a maximum of 16 students per class. 12 students for Pre-Dance and Kinder Dance classes. Company and Technique classes are unlimited. Our limited class size policy means classes fill up quickly. Early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment.
CLASS PLACEMENT
Recreational classes are available for boys and girls of all ages and levels, in all disciplines. Our extensive class schedule allows for classes that suit your needs, at ANY age! We are happy to offer beginner classes at every age...so it's never too late to start, and you know you'll be learning comfortably with other students your age range and level. In fact, all of our core classes are offered at different levels within each age range. This ensures that all students are placed in a class that suits both their age and ability.
Students are assessed regularly to make certain they are placed in classes that are best suited for them.
AWARD WINNING CHILDREN'S PROGRAM
Toronto Dance Industry is the proud recipient of the "Honourary Award for Children's Programs" as presented by Terpsichore Dance Celebration. The Award was presented for excellence in technical training, age appropriate choreography, music, and costuming and for providing children with a solid education and background in the Performing Arts. In today's fast paced society, you can be comfortable knowing that at TDI your "kids will remain kids".
RECREATIONAL OR COMPETITIVE?
Toronto Dance Industry offers two separate programs: Recreational and Competitive. Our Recreational Program is ideal for students looking to get fit and have fun. The focus of these classes is on co-ordination and rhythm, all while teaching life skills that will remain with students in their future endeavors; social interaction, confidence, discipline and creativity. Personal attention is guaranteed in our recreational classes, to ensure students are meeting their full potential.
Toronto Dance Industry is proud to provide quality dance instruction not only for our Competitive Program, but also for our dancers who choose to dance recreationally. Our Competitive Program prepares dancers for the professional dance world. Acceptance into this program is by selection or audition. These classes concentrate on developing and strengthening a strong balance of technique and performance through intense conditioning and technical training.
